I had a nice experience and I already made an appointment for December to see Dr Seo again.Dr. Seo is a great dentist and a charming person who never fails to put me at ease. Whether it's a cleaning or a more complicated procedure, I know I'm in good hands with him.Strongly recommend - very fast, efficient, and capable ; don’t overcharge for services and are open Saturdaysfirst time having Dr. Sellan cleaning my teeth, very efficent, patient, did a great job, painless!Reception and hygienist staff were prepared and professional! Gave me options for care now that I’m in insuredDental hygienist, Tracy, was wonderful, friendly, complimentary of my dental status, and very thorough with her cleaning of my teeth, had excellent suggestions for addressing small gum issues. I am always very pleased with Post Street Dental. Dr. Sao did an excellent and quick job of checking my teeth to make sure they were healthy.This was my second trip to Post Street Dental and it was awesome. A very friendly group of people. I would recommend to my friends.Dr. Seo has been my primary dentist for many years. Recently, I had a dental emergency and I was fortunate to get an appointment with him within a few hours. I hadn’t been to the dentist in 17 years due to a dental phobia that developed over time and I needed significant work done. The team made me feel very comfortable, provided a pain free experience, explained things clearly, and had such a great tone of voice and vibe. The offices of Dr. Abrolat and Dr. Young also really impressed me with how quickly they responded to any question I had and provided great cost estimates and dental plan options.My third visit, every six months, all is fine, only a bit unusual as the dentist saw me first and then the hygienist came to clean the teeth. I saw Dr. Chantelle Abrolat and Jamie for my general cleaning as well as for my very first crown! They were just amazing and I highly recommend this office. The procedures went so smoothly and as a first time crown recipient, I had a great experience with Dr. Abrolat. She was so kind, knowledgeable, super thorough and gentle. Aftercare instructions were perfect and the entire process went extremely smoothly. Look forward to seeing her until she retires! They are friendly, efficient (in a good way) and are always on top of scheduling my appointments. Love them!TL;DR - Warm, comfortable, fast, efficient service from start to finish from ALL staff! Easy text communication. I recommend this office for basic/routine dentistry, but (in my case) would have gone to someone else with wisdom tooth extraction experience. They can provide a helpful breakdown of estimated costs and coverage. I really hate going to the dentist, but this office made every effort to offer the best, most comfortable experience and service from start to finish. I had a tooth ache from a wisdom tooth that was desperate to come out. So I found this office through my insurance portal, filled out the online form on the practice website to request an appointment, and was quickly contacted shortly after their office opened the next day. All communications happened via text which was easy and efficient. They were able to get me in for an appointment two days later which I feel is pretty fast, considering availability is hard to come by, especially at the end of the year. When I arrived, I was greeted and helped immediately. The ambiance is nice, simple, and comfortable. They text you a link to fill out your new patient info to lessen the paperwork you have to do in person. I still had some consent forms and more detailed health history to fill out when I arrived. Then I was immediately taken back for images and x-rays. Everything happened very fast. The assistant helping with this was kind and gentle. Then, Dr. Seo did his examination. He was absolutely wonderful - very warm, patient, kind, and resourceful. He answered all questions enthusiastically, walked me through my scans and photos, and offered helpful advice. I have been cheated into paying for unnecessary procedures by previous dentists, so I REALLY appreciated how Dr. Seo reassured me that he only recommends "needed" procedures - emphasis on "need". Super comforting. The only downside is that he is not a specialist, so he couldn't advise on (or conduct) wisdom teeth extraction and had to refer me elsewhere. So if you're coming in for that, then depending on your insurance, I recommend seeing another general dentist or oral surgeon who can do the consult and then the teeth extractions instead of jumping from dentist to dentist. Dr. Seo referred me to Dr. Young who is in a separate but co-owned practice upstairs (review to come). After that, the dental hygienist, Justin, cleaned my teeth. He (and Dr. Seo) also recommended a deeper cleaning which my insurance would not have covered, but overall, I didn't feel pressured to do anything (a common issue in private practices). Overall, Justin was wonderful as well! Again, very kind, patient, knowledgeable, and gentle. I could tell he was doing a thorough job with the cleaning, checking in with me now and then. He gave me some freebies (floss, toothbrush, toothpaste). He also provided helpful advice that was consistent with what Dr. Seo mentioned. The front desk staff member showed me my estimated costs. Billing is always a frustrating process, especially with unexpected expenses, but they break it down for you in an organized way. Feel free to ask about estimates ahead of time if you are worried about coverage. Overall, the staff here are great and I highly recommend coming here for all of your general, more routine dental needs!Always a good experience when it comes to dental health and care. Liz is my hygienist and she's quick and friendly. The front desk now has Heather, who is warm and very knowledgeable. Dr. Hahn has replaced some of my old appliances and is very meticulous about it! I am self-insured and they charge me a reasonable rate for services. Very convenient for anyone in downtown San Francisco or the Union Square shopping district. I was scheduled to leave for NYC on a flight from SFO at 7:30 am the very next day so I was panicked. Would I need to find a dentist in New York City? Yikes! Time was of the essence so I called Char, the receptionist/office manager at Post Street Dental and she assured me that if I was in pain an endodontist would see me that afternoon. Whew! She referred me to the very best- Union Square Endodontics. I called there at about 3:00 pm and was told to come in immediately. I needed a root canal (yikes again!) and Dr. Machule completed it by 6:30 pm. Thanks to Char's referral and the amazing Dr. Machule, I was able to go back east with peace of mind. When I returned from my trip, Dr. Kohn removed my temporary filling and painlessly replaced it with a permanent one. As I was leaving the office, Char stopped me as she had checked with my insurance carrier, Delta Dental, discovered I had just 60 cents remaining in my annual allotment. She apologized (not necessary) and told me that I'd need to pay out-of-pocked for my upcoming appointments. Although that wasn't good news (and I have excellent dental insurance), she had the presence of mind to give me an alert ahead of time. Technically great with any and all procedures, but also full of compassion and no judgment. So if you have not been to the dentist in years but realize it is time to go and are totally freaked out, make your re-entry with Dr. Kohn. Plus his office manager Shar is great and will help get you squared away on appointments and insurance. Just a note that their prices are not rock bottom. He did my first crown replacing the cap my last dentist had put over a root canal. The whole procedure was relatively painless. I've been back a few times to get my teeth cleaned, and must admit every time I've been my teeth have felt smoother and cleaner than I've ever had them. I'd really recommend his dental practice.I started seeing Dr. Kohn in 1999. Before seeing Dr. Kohn, I was embarrassed about my teeth and disliked immensely going to the dentist. When I first arrived, I was surprised at how enjoyable a trip to the dentist can be. Dr. Kohn is not only very professional but also knowledgeable and considers the overall heath and well being of his patients. I now enjoy going to the dentist and receive complements often on my teeth. George encouraged me and helped facilitate braces and walked me through several years of cleaning out old fillings, increasing my oral health. To be blunt, I lived in Belgium for 6 years, yet still flew back to San Francisco for my 6-month check-up. That is how much I trust and appreciate Dr. Kohn's skills. One more note on his staffing: I have never met a more professional and courteous staff than Dr. Kohn's team. For many years, I have been treated by Shar and she has always been professional, kind and made me feel very comfortable. For 15 years, I have never experienced any issues with my insurance and have been treated with the utmost respect and handling of all claims. The team is highly professional and I trust them greatly. I have recommended Dr. Kohn to several friends and family members and will continue to do so. It is extremely rare to find a dentist that makes you feel comfortable and confident: period.For the last 18 years, Dr. George Kohn has been my dentist. As a result, I have beautiful, healthy teeth ! I had a toothache and after an examination I remember chatting with him as we stood by a window in the treatment room in 1989. Listening to his words of encouragement, he became "my dentist" on that day. From a time of being insecure with my smile, his caring attitude and good care over the many years have made that become all but a memory. He is a professional, but that does not get in the way of his being personable and caring. Little known fact - George worked in a neighborhood dental clinic as a hygienist before he got his DDS. Over the years, George has taken me through countless dental adventures, including getting me to an oral surgeon STAT for wisdom teeth removal, an endodontist STAT when I needed an emergency root canal, and helping me preserve my four front teeth after a bad bicycle accident. That's in addition to years of normal, preventative care - check-ups and cleanings. Dr. Barry Witt is a relatively recent addition to the office, but has been great to see as well. Never, never, never a problem or an experience that wasn't the best in dental care. No pain ever, including when giving ultra-scary palatal injections. I wanted to mention the professionalism of this office as well. The former office manager, Michael, spent hours and hours on the phone with me and my insurance company after my accident helping get the claims paid. This was not easy, because dental insurance will say that medical insurance should pay for everything, while medical insurance will say that dental insurance should pay for everything. Extremely frustrating for the insured, and without Michael's help, I probably would have lost out on a significant portion of the insurance payment I was entitled to. Alas, Michael moved away a few years ago, but his replacement, Michelle, appears to be running the office as exceptionally well and capably as Michael did. We patients work with the office managers a lot and it is really great when they are as capable as they are in this office. Great office, like others here have said, they make going to the dentist an enjoyable experience.I have been a patient at this Dental office since the mid 80's. Previously a client of Dr Richard Barrera's and now Dr George Kohn's - I had extensive work in the early years and can now say that I have generally 'healthy' teeth (in no small way due to Barerra and Kohn's exquisite, sensitive and sensible care). George never pushes anything on me and always involves my clear understanding and opinion in the equation for decision-making. Care is delivered with cost consciousness in mind. Dr Kohn said that he believes that saving as much of the natural tooth as possible is better for the health of the entire mouth. SOLD!!!! He referred me to Orthodontists Drs Good & Sears. They pulled the roots down far enough to give surface area to attach crowns, & Dr Kohn did an AMAZING job matching the size, shape & color of my natural teeth, & now I have a beautiful smile again! & did I mention that ALL the dental work was virtually PAINLESS?!!! Co-payments are collected up front, but they never amount to much. My partner the dentist-phobe went to a different dentist for the nitrous oxide and we had to maintain a spreadsheet to double check the insurance billings and account balance; I have never had to do that with this office.I became a patient of Dr. Kohn's after a friend's recommendation, and it made me realize how important it is to have a great dentist. Definitely the best I've ever had, and the entire office staff is friendly and efficient. Everyone I've recommended him to has been equally impressed. It is so hard to find great health care providers, I'm glad I found one that relieves me of anxiety.
